- Choco Museo Cacao Tea Original
Someone picked this tea up for me in Peru. Shout-out Surquillo, Lima Peru. I finally bought a Lupicia handy cooler with a pink lid. The first time I used this product I said, "Rats I should have bought the smaller cooler". It turned out fine. It works out and I love it. A week after I bought the cooler, the company closed this store for the pandemic. I wonder if this company will survive the storm? I hope so. I'm glad I waited to buy the cooler and I really hope I don't break it. I'm using the cooler for this loose leaf tea. To the tea: It smells heavenly. I drink it black. Usually eating something sweet to go with it. I'm looking at the raw tea. Maybe I should save the leafs and use it as an exfoliate or a face mask? I think I have a week and a half, of leaves, in stock. Making the most of it. I wonder if all cacao teas taste the same? I don't think they do. The tea grows on you, I've gotten used to it. Literally like water for chocolate. It tastes like chocolate water. I'm listening to Chris Martin's TogetherAtHome stream. I love that he doesn't know his flags or lyrics. I relate completely. What exotic location were Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello at during their stream? I knew it was Florida. My favorite so far is Ziggy Marley's. God bless the Zen.
Lupicia's:
- Sencha "Omaesama"
It smells and tastes like seaweed. Is this what green tea tastes like? I don't usually drink green tea. My aunt told me she drinks her green tea with honey. I drank it black. It needs some sugar. I think all my reviews will include, "it needs some sugar". The description says, "Rich and sweet deep-steamed sencha green tea with a name to respect someone". Hustle, Loyalty, Respect. This is the John Cena of green teas. Insert theme music.
- Matcha Black Soybean Rice Tea
Described as, "A genmaicha (rice tea) with matcha blended with black beans, to promote "healthy living". I take the bag out of the package and exclaim, "this is legit". This is the Sasha Banks of green tea. Holy Matcha, Batman. I asked for a second opinion from a six year old. She says it smells like nori. It does, huh? God Bless Lupicia and this tea. Keep in mind this is day 21 of "sheltering at home". Taking pleasure from tea and life. I may order some tea from their website for an Aunt in Nevada. Wish they had the Easter collection on their website.
- Momoko
Robust. Doesn't smell like nori or seaweed. Smells like potpourri. Without looking at the description, I think this is a green tea. I know that "momo" means peach as in my friend and folk-tale hero Momotaro. I went to the website: "Luscious peach and sweet vanilla green tea captures the enchanting nature of a graceful Japanese beauty." Ok. I can pick out the vanilla tones now. Good stuff. I would purchase this again.
- La Belle Epogue
This was good hot and it was good as an iced tea. I would purchase this again. I don't know if that holds much validity. I say that about a majority of the teas that I have reviewed.
- Sencha Matsuri
Sakumrambo (Cherry). If this tea were a wrestler it would be..... Finn Bálor. Delicious, bitter, and with a bite. It will knock you out. More so “Prince Devitt”, Finn Bálor. Queue his entrance music.
MSC Food Products:
- Ashitaba
- Lagundi
Lagundi will save us all. A very light tea. I used two tea bags. It tasted better after steeping overnight in the fridge. Is that the right word? I left the tea bags in the water overnight in the fridge. I would stockpile this item. Lord help me when Trader Joe's (and/or big health food store) gets his/their greedy cultivating commercialism hands on this product.
- Mangosteen
- Bignay
- Yamamotoyama Green Tea
Say it's a basic tea, I don't care. I like it. Though I can't get over green tea smelling like seaweed or an earthy substance. Where I am I can see commercial planes take off. I say a prayer for those on the plane. Be safe. May wherever you land have an abundance of household supplies, toiletries, and food. May you live through this.
- Mystery Tea #1
As in this is a homemade concoction that was left at my working place. I don't know what is in it. I've had it before but I don't remember what I thought of it. This is the one with popcorn in it, what appears to be rice, and grains. I should have combined both mystery teas together. The amount of loose leaf products in said "tea" wasn't strong enough. But it tasted fine. I enjoyed it as a hot tea and an iced tea. I prefer the former. Drank it with a pink Easter peep. Gracias and grateful.
- Mystery Tea #2
Homemade concoction take two. What is it with people making their own tea? Though I have grand ideas on making malungay tea. This tea is delicious. I have no clue what is in it. I don't know if this is a black tea or oolong tea. This tea will knock your socks off. This is the Shinsuke Nakamura of teas. Such a difference from the "Lagundi" flavor that I tried earlier this week. Love it. Whatever this is I love it. Thank you to whomever left this at my working place. Good tidings to you and yours.
