Is basketball as boring as I remember it to be?
Yes.
The pizza arrived and I turn on the TV. Score was either tied 13 or tied 14, I can't remember what occurred twenty minutes ago. 10 seconds in some commentator says something snarky and I turn off the TV. I tell myself that I have to watch this game so I turn the TV back on. I'll probably mute the game in 10 minutes. I paid $33.26 dollars for a large pizza, 8 wings and tip. Each item cost $2.078 Yum.
4th quarter, the score is 73 Boston -76. I'm not worried. Less than 4 minutes to go. Slight heartburn possibly from the pizza and anxiety.
The Red Sox lost today, Hanley is no longer on the team and Pedroia is in the lineup. If you were to ask me if I'm a sports person I would say no. Though I'm wearing my green dress with a heart cutout on the back that I got from Savers. Also, I'm eating the rest of my pizza during tomorrow's game 1 of the Stanley Cup. Where I root for whomever rigged this match-up. Yay NHL, Russia, Vegas Bookies, Hasbeens, Castoffs and Redemption.
1 minute to go. Worried.
I want L. James to give Dave Portnoy a hug.
Ok, let's watch a hockey game.
I'm currently doing laundry and thought about the first game of the season where I watched three minutes of the replay compared to today's game. I remember praying for Hayward even though this was two hours plus after his injury. I had to turn it off before they re-showed the accident. Both games were against Cleveland and both ended with a Celtics defeat. But, both games book ended an amazing season. The future is bright and the cup is half-full. I think about how bummed Pastrňák must be. It's ok, Pasta. It's ok. Oh, right he's banging Czech supermodels. He will be just fine. You boys don't you dare hang your head, you have a lot to be proud of.
This is the part after a game where I want to buy something. I'm looking at this Celtics rosary. I've been looking at it for awhile. Lil Jon will perform before game 1 tomorrow. How random is that? Las Vegas is such a weird place. Somewhere members of RHCP are happy that the C's lost and though that stinks, I still love that band. My Twitter jink is 1 - a gazillion. My heart will go on.

When I was in high school I wanted to be a sports commentator. I'm so glad that didn't occur. I watch games muted, stopped watching ESPN years ago and I can't read from a prompter to save my life. If I continued on the dead end path I would be stuck being someone's glorified coffee girl, doing tricks to secure a promotion and writing copy for a coke endued schmuck. Like I said, I'm not a sports person.
Updated 6/2/18. The one time I wished a team well and they won, it was gosh darn worth it. I read somewhere that if you said something like "the future is bright and blah, blah cup half-full" you don't know what you are talking about concerning the 2017-18 C's basketball team. You see this finger? Don't tell me how to feel. Yes, I wallowed in negativity. Yes, I was bummed. But blank it, I carry on. The Pats, Bruins and Celtics season ending wasn't pretty but it makes the wins well worth it and I've witnessed them all winning in my lifetime. Many did not experience that.
I listened to some guy discuss how the Bruins got their butts kicked and I wanted to rip out his throat.
