A man passed away this past June. When I read his obituary I recalled what he said to me when I was dolled up for an art show opening, a show that I did not get into (as in I submitted my work to the show but it was rejected. I have a couple of expletives for that art show and foundation). Eric said, "Who do you want us to beat up?" I'll always remember that. I didn't take him up on his offer.
It's strange reading a death notice. One of the last acknowledgements' of that person in a human form. Or just the beginning. Depends on how you view things. He is a shimmering fella who made me laugh and smile. I hope his family and friends are well and in good health. To you Mr. Eric Eugene Kamakahia'ai Chandler. Aloha 'Oe.
