“It’s a little North Korea”
“And somewhere the family of the gymnast is being executed because of a selfie”, was the response by the man sitting behind the desk.
“Pardon, Sir?”
“Nothing, something I’ve been thinking about”.

The Guideline
Is this what it takes to build a better world?
It happened in the middle of the night. The occupation. It was written clearly as a slogan on a t-shirt a battle cry moment in a speech. In order to build a better world raise a strong girl. Then one day a rogue army took that literally and raised a coup. Over a million deaths occurred in the middle of the ocean. In what was the fiftieth state of the Union. The electricity was turned off. Poison was placed in certain foods and in the water. Soldiers went from one house to the next executing the survivors. Executing those in the streets. There were no rebellions to rebel. No one bat an eye, the world glanced up from their collective smartphones at this science experiment and then went back to having blinders on. Once soldiers eradicated the population, they too were assassinated by other soldiers. Scientist and government officials moved in to rebuild the infrastructure. Years passed. Newborn baby girls of every race were picked to live in a camp*. Educated, appreciated and programmed.
What happened next?
*Part Y: The Last Man, Star Wars drone army, MTV's Real World, The Purge, Charlie's Angels and Lost.
You want me to say it all works out, that the world became better because of this? Well, it does not. The good, bad and the terribly horrific occurred. (I want to type the good, the bad and the Kardashian-West-Jenner-mess. But, it's too easy to pick on that family.) People wanted to come in to the camp, girls wanted to escape the camp, people wanted to exploit the camp, people wanted to burn the camp down and maybe there were some rebellions found? There will be a book club and one heck of a library in this New World experiment.
Humanity was not saved. But, an interesting tale occurred. An idea was formed. Like Rufus said in Dogma, "I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier".

"The idea is genocide, sir?", Soldier A
"The idea is always genocide", responded the commander.
