Cape Blanco

Five years ago, before the drought, I would use the hose in the backyard to rinse off after surfing. Simple done. Rinse off outside and then take a shower. I now shower with an assortment of plastic containers to collect water, whilst using non-chemical bath products. The stuff you find at a vegan grocery store. Labeled Au naturel with a leaf image boxed in a recycled byproduct. I collect the water and use it for numerous things around the yard. Lawn ripped out replaced with artificial grass and succulents. Using a campfire shower, solar power heating the recycled bath water, I stand in a large plastic bin on top of my wetsuit while holding my board. I would recycle that water again, but something about the toxic LA ocean killed off my milkweed plant.

Take that drought shaming photos. Next I'll be making my own candles.

Wasteful, want full

mocking you with enthusiastic glee
guffawing nonsense about the weather
one - one - two - one - red - black - go
Creerse la última Coca-Cola en el desierto
water for the angels
unspeakable terms of limits memory the key
that time forgot and life got in the way
I know what your dreams are made of
I planted the nightmare there
sandwiched between a hard place and another hard place
left stranded by a tidal wave
Laying by the pool a couple shades darker
pseudo-tropical tanning fix that won't last
following the bright Fall moon from Kona eastward
eyes fixated on the horizon line, not paying attention to the drive home
too busy playing battlefont to deal with Country Club shenanigans
clock ticking, bells ringing
Three Dog Night, may the music never die.

Cubs fans shake their heads
ask will it even happen?
Will it happen in my lifetime?
Theo will you do it again?

This happened and made my day.
