I hope God, I hope God, I hope God
(God with long note runs, think Christina Aguilera. Take a moment and continue with the first verse)
I hope God sends you a rainbow, a rainbow
and that rainbow sends you home
I hope God sends you peace, peace
and that peace sends you home
I hope God sends you freedom, freedom
and that freedom sends you home
Higher Power send me clarity, clarity
and that clarity sends me home
Higher Power send me serenity, serenity
and that serenity sends me home
I hope Jah sends you love, big big love
and that love sends you home
I hope Zeus sends you Athena, bright-eyed Athena
and Athena guides you home
I hope Kesha wins her court case, her court case
and that win brings her rainbows, so many many rainbows
I hope there is a Rainbow in Heaven, Rainbow in Heaven
where Lemmy is playing his video game, video game
I hope he greats me at the pearly gates, pearly gates
standing on a tank rockin' his bass
Plus other tangents to the melody...
I hope the Red Sox beat them bastards, bastards
and that win brings them the pennant, pennant
Brady and Co. win another Super Bowl, Super Bowl
giving everyone the finger, finger
I hope Henry Cavill marries me, marries me
and I bear him offspring, many many offspring
*****
I want to thank St. Philomena for sending me this ditty today. Also to Kesha for Rainbow. I love the album! Free Kesha. I chased a rainbow home today after coming up with the song this afternoon. It was meant to be.
I have been envious of songwriters who can write a song in five minutes. This song took me longer than five minutes to write. Though this is the closest thing to a five minute song that I have ever come up with.

Just a fan rooting them along
@VinP27 10 October 2016, 7:16 PM:
"My dad always told me Red Sox would lose, somehow, someway. I always tell my kids the Sox have a chance. David Ortiz did that for Boston."
***
Thanks for a banner season, men.
I watched it all and lived to tell about it. The pain will break an already broken heart just a little bit. If I allow it to. But, this is baseball sweetheart it's part of loving Boston. (Yes, this is going into a lyric.)
It was an exciting game 3 Yesterday afternoon. Wish the outcome was different, but I understand. I'm praying in my living room feeling foolish to pray for something so small. The camera pans to others praying and I am able to chuckle at our fandom.
I thank you God for a great season. I hope David isn't too sad. I hope the rest of the team and organization isn't too sad either. God Bless them this off season and in 2017.
I wonder who will be let go, who the Sox trade for and what the 2017 season will be like?
I was watching RAW last night and I felt better. Maybe I'm in denial? Maybe it's because Superman is back as the Patriots QB? Laisser le bon roulement de temps.
I also lost week 5 of FF. Whatever, it's my own darn fault for that.
Is that the title for book three? Love, Fantasy Football and it's my own darn fault.

Week 17, 2016
...and she lived happily ever after.
The strange things you do five hours and twelve minutes before your last fantasy football match-up.
No matter the outcome I'm going to buy a new RHCP live set. Or, maybe I should buy the set beforehand?
Updated 7:08 PM.
I ended up in 6th place. 10 - 6 for the season. I lost my last game, which I could have won if I played QB Kirk Cousins and WR Doug Baldwin. Who cares? I never have to play this blasted game again. I want to thank my team I greatly appreciate every point.
I'm going to watch Downton Abbey and hope that Lady Edith finds some happiness. I hope all the characters find some happiness. Yes, I did end up buying the MP3. I'm With You Philippines.

Week 14
Updated 12/24.
So, I have lost twice since this post below. At least I'll still have a winning season. I'll either come in 5th or 6th place next week.
This is the third year in a row that I made it into the "post-season." I'm a respectable ten and five (...soon to be 11-5 or 10-6), compared to (a final) nine and seven a season ago.
Week 17 - This is when we fight, men.
I also told the league Commissioner that I will not return next season. I do have remorse, though I am thinking positive. I can not wait for next year when I can watch a game in peace. "But, what about research for the book?" My editor asks. I'll just make things up, I'm a writer. I plan on listening to a Fantasy Football radio show and laugh at the yahoos in league Hell. Ahhhh, the good life. Maybe next year I'll finally buy myself a quarterback jersey? Who to chose though, should I go with the obvious?
Speaking of which. Thank goodness I didn't plunk down and buy that Matt Cassel jersey a couple of weeks ago. Randomly, did you know he named one of his children Matthew Cassel Jr.? And he was in the 1994 Little League World Series. Brilliant. I believe in Cassel. I learned that from following Andy Dalton for the past couple of seasons. Plus his jersey might be on sale right now. Good luck on you Cassel...and Dalton...and Darren McFadden.
Where I coin the term "Fantasy Football Rage". I am creating a spectrum and triggers for it as we speak.
*****
Thank God the misery is about to end.
Last week before the postseason. I am 10 and 3 (Won the last three games) .769. Tied in first place in my division and Fourth overall in the league.
Starting lineup this week -
QB Tom Brady
RB C.J. Spiller
RB Ronnie Hillman
WR Danny Amendola
WR Randall Cobb
TE Julius Thomas
WR Doug Baldwin
K Mike Nugent
Def Carolina Panthers
Martellus Bennett was my starting TE for this season. Get well and healthy. Thank you #83. Gronk, Edelman and D. Lewis get healthy boys.
I wonder if I should add Edelman? I have bench players to spare. In fairy tale land I think he'll come out of the tunnel and start next week.

(W) Week 12: 158.80 - 125.40
(W) Week 13: 111.68 - 83.24
It's always nice to win the first game of the season. In a separate match-up, this season, it was nice to beat the person I came in second to last year in the 'ship.
***
I drafted Brady in the third round. I look at his 353.58 points this season and say thank you.
***
I dropped TE M. Bennett and added Edelman. This is why I don't win, I only draft Patriots players. Right now I have: Brady, LaFell, Dola, Edelman and TE S. Chandler. On to Houston.

Sixteen weeks of (so-called) fantasy
A collection of stories about Fantasy, Fantasy Football and the word love in some language where it is spelled with a "F".
***
I know marriages that lasted less than a fantasy football season. You could be married, divorced and married again (hopefully, to another person) during the duration of a fantasy football season. I don't know about your league, but in fourteen weeks a lot can happen.
Spike TV had a Rocky marathon during Thanksgiving weekend. I read all of the IMDB trivia on Rocky, 1976. Which was released three years before I was born. I stayed and watched the pivotal second running up the museum steps scene. I once sat there and spent three hours watching people running up the steps. It was quite humorous and joyful. I hooted and hollered. Wrote out scores on a piece of paper for those who made the trek with their hands raised above their head. I think I gave everyone a 10. If, you ever have the chance to, go and watch it. Wait a minute, we are living on borrowed time. Instead of watching it and seeing humans at play, be the human running up the steps.
Where am I going with this?
On your first day of being divorced, I hope you play the song "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind and Fire. Full steam ahead make it up your proverbial Rocky steps.

"Spoken like a complete git who has never been divorced", responds my good friend Darla. "Talk to me about running up steps when the man you were with for ten years leaves you for a stripper named Fantasy".
Fantasy, a-ha! Romance, I respond in my head.

What's My Name Again?
Tell me she spells it with a "Ph" and two ee's", I ask with eyes wide open.

...working on somethin'.
Tell me there is a kid out there named 'Fantasy Football' insert middle and last name. I always liked the named shotgun insert last name here, but others may think our child was named because of a shotgun marriage. Not to mention the weapon implications. ...
