During the holidays, almost fifteen years ago, I came across a woman and two children in the aisles of a big box store. With them was a police officer and the woman began to loudly sob. A clerk told me that the woman had her bag stolen with all of her Christmas money inside. Even typing that makes me want to tear up. To have that happen and to have your children see that. I know it isn't about gifts during the holidays, but it's a crummy thing to happen.
I think about burglars during the holidays. No remorse for an addict or someone who enjoys the con. May a paint can find your face upon entering a heist door.
Someone told me a story about a dog who had to go to the vet. The vet had to tell the customer that this dog was a missing dog and belonged to someone else. The customer's police officer boyfriend gave her the dog. If cops aren't returning lost puppies, we are all doomed. I'm sure their was a perfectly good explanation about why the dog wasn't returned immediately to it's owner.
That being said please don't take my snacky elf bobble treat on the tree. It's for my Mo Mo. Nor my WWE store purchases. Which reminds me of the incident where Daniel Bryan apprehended a burglar. Rear naked choke holds for the undesirables.
*****
Merry Christmas, one and all.
I made it to the post-season. I beat my week 15 opponent. I'm up against the first ranked team for week 16. Not bad, not bad. Though I may be knocked out next Sunday, which is Christmas. But, hey it's been quite a ride. Thank you Carson Palmer. Thank you Dak Prescott, who I picked up off of the waivers. Ha, Ha, Ho-Ho-Ho.
All my quarterbacks this season: Carson Palmer, Alex Smith, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jacoby Brissett, and Dax Prescott. Thank you, men.

Wake up, listen to Bob Marley and keeping on. Amongst other things. Tea helps. Hot tea, iced tea, milk tea. Good books, good music. Well, I don't know about 'good books'. I've read some decent books which nevertheless captured the imagination. I'm looking forward to reading V for Vendetta. Let's paint. Oh right, I didn't buy a new bottle of gesso. Making time to dance. I'm learning a new bachata this afternoon. Smackdown, NXT Takeover Toronto and Survivor Series.
"Awwwww Ottery St. Catchpole. Don't you dare be sour. Clap for your world famous 2-time champs and feel the power. It's a New Day, yes it is." I read this headline about Harry Potter yoga. I don't know, but I'm quite fascinated. I won week 10; 140.56 - 101.88.
Currently 6-4. I like it when I am able to break over a hundred points. Seeing that I'm not doing so well this season it's the little things that I'm focusing on. I was listening to this sports talk Fantasy Baseball show. Fantasy baseball in November? I didn't get it. I couldn't imagine playing fantasy baseball. I saw a young boy in a (Corey) Seager shirt on Sunday and it made me smile. Reckon' I'll write about that.

Hell in an Editor Cell
Office setting. The smell of Pine-Sol applied hours before to the wooden floors and furniture. The smell of money amounting while hopes and dreams shine only to die. Like stars and planets. I'm here to pitch a story. I'm here to be a punching bag, for a self-absorbed tyrannical happy day crusher. Enter my book editor. (Hi Thomas! Smile for the reader.)
Dear publishing firm I want you to pay for a book about me cooking Italian food in Hawaiʻi, New Jersey and Italy. I read an article about a native New Yorker cooking an Italian dish, passed on by her grandmother, to her recently transplanted Italian boyfriend. Who happens to be a cook and he did not like the dish. If Italians find East Coast second generation Italian American cooking unacceptable, what would one think of middle of the pacific semi-homemade Italian cooking? I go to New Jersey become wise about Italian cooking only to travel to Italy to be knocked completely off my ass by someone's mean spirited grandmother. Basically I cook and someone older and wiser takes the piss off of my cooking. But the setting is beautiful and I advance as an Italian speaker.
Editor - "Does it have a love story?"
Me - "A love of carbs and olive oil."
Editor - "Hmmm."
Me - Sidenote - "Hmmm" means no. Not wanting to give up. I interject with, "Have we not learned anything from the blockbuster Frozen? We don't need a Duke or a frozen ice seller. We just need a snowman, a song and a belief in yourself.
Editor - "I've heard enough, no. Got any other stories?".

98.14 to 97.74. We both have two players yet to play this afternoon. Alshon Jeffrey -WR Chicago (projected 16.60 points) Last week he scored 6.30 points against Green Bay. My opponent has Cameron Meredith - WR Chicago (projected 9.60 points, though he is questionable to play.
6. Good luck Mr. Jeffrey. May the Monday Night lights shine brightly on you.
Did I tell you the story of my three quarterbacks?

@VinP27 10 October 2016, 7:16 PM:

Thanks for a banner season, men.
I watched it all and lived to tell about it. The pain will break an already broken heart just a little bit. If I allow it to. But, this is baseball sweetheart it's part of loving Boston. (Yes, this is going into a lyric.)
It was an exciting game 3 Yesterday afternoon. Wish the outcome was different, but I understand. I'm praying in my living room feeling foolish to pray for something so small. The camera pans to others praying and I am able to chuckle at our fandom.
I thank you God for a great season. I hope David isn't too sad. I hope the rest of the team and organization isn't too sad either. God Bless them this off season and in 2017.
I wonder who will be let go, who the Sox trade for and what the 2017 season will be like?
I was watching RAW last night and I felt better. Maybe I'm in denial? Maybe it's because Superman is back as the Patriots QB? Laisser le bon roulement de temps.
I also lost week 5 of FF. Whatever, it's my own darn fault for that.
Is that the title for book three? Love, Fantasy Football and it's my own darn fault.

"Who is your favorite wrestler?"
"Uh, Kurt Cobain."
Interesting... I wonder what Billy Corbin would have to say about that. I had to look online to see if I spelled his name right. Ha, it's Billy Corgan. He is probably thinking. Do you know how many chairs I have smashed on heads and Cobain is someone's favorite wrestler.

Week 2 and Week 3
Week 2
Hey, I won. I was projected to lose. I came to terms with losing. Isn't it nice that they tell you that you are expected to lose beforehand?
Week 3
I lost.
This blows.
I was projected to win, by a small margin. My bench scored 100 - something points.
I'm currently listening to George Strait (It Just Comes Natural) to ease the pain. I also listened to:
Nobody Weird Like Me, RHCP Helsinki Finland 9/2016
Goodbye Angels, RHCP Helsinki Finland 9/2016
Wet Sand, RHCP Duluth Georgia 4/2012
Stadium Arcadium, RHCP from S.A.
The Space Between, DMB Live Trax 32: Greek Theater 2014
Give It Up, Dr. Michael White
Somewhere during "Wet Sand" I felt better.
I'm proud of my team, nevertheless. I'm grateful the Patriots won and the Red Sox are in the playoffs. I'm glad I got home ok.
Alright, off to read and watch RAW.
Working titles for the third book... "I'm angry, oooh bibingka."
"Football is Fake. How I lost my mind playing un-Fantasy Football".
Like Chris Jericho and his list, Matt Ryan is on my list. Bless his heart. You crushed me, Ryan. Saints D, on the list.
Sing it George!

Week 1
What am I doing?: Year 6 of Fantasy Football
This is where I talk myself off the ledge. My mantras for the week, "This is for the book, this is for the book."
Closely followed by. "This is all fake, it doesn't matter, this is all fake, it doesn't matter."
You think after six seasons of this I would get my act together. I would be cool, I would be Fonzie. Instead I am I. I was suppose to stop playing. Period. Exclamation point. I had the number one draft pick and I was busy boiling eggs for my deviled eggs dish to notice that I was drafting first at 9 AM on a Saturday. I only found out during round seven and had to text someone inquiring who my auto-pick drafted. Antonio Brown, WR. My beloved Patriots aren't on my team. Computer do you not know me? And somehow the computer decided to draft Teddy Bridgewater as my backup which I dropped today and picked up AJ McCarron. Because I remember and I believe. Which should not discredit Dalton, he was not a Free Agent (like Heath Slater). Who Dey!
God is pretty funny. I'm making deviled eggs unbeknownst I was blessed with the number one draft pick. I suppose I would have gone with Brown, was he ranked the number one draft pick? Okay, yes. He was. I would have picked a Patriot as my second pick.
The draft algorithm gave me a B grade in the draft (thanks computer), predicts I'll go 10 - 4 and tie for second place. I'll probably go 4 and 10. I don't like that I'm older than my quarterback, by two days. This is what happens when you had Tom Brady and Russel Wilson on your team last year. God bless you, Palmer and McCarron. I'll probably pick another quarterback next week. I learned something on sports talk radio this week. Week three, the underdog wins.
Blah, blah, blah. I tweeted John Lester about Hurricane Lester. I'll guess I'll put that in the book. I'm blessed that I had power and a roof over my head this past Saturday into Sunday. Also, the deviled eggs turned out awesome. If, you want to call them angel eggs by all means go on. Maybe I'll call them hurricane eggs?
My team for week 1
Carson Palmer QB - ARI
Ryan Mathews RB - PHI
Jay Ajayi RB - MIA

I'm paying twenty for this?
Go Red Sox is back in business and Carson Palmer is my quarterback. But, I would rather be boiling eggs for my deviled eggs dish. Which is what I was doing when the draft began. I drafted first. It is a good thing I didn't know this I would have been sucked back in. With the first pick of the draft my auto-pick selected Antonio Brown. Which I respond with, "Who is Antonio Brown?" Ah, Do your thing 84.
Now do I dare look at the rest of my roster?

Hot dogs are for closers and sixth place winners
112.78 vs. 94.56. I lost by 18.22. I'll be up at night just thinking of those numbers. Like a mad economist.
I am glad the Patriots are in the postseason. I wish them well. I am also glad that the Bengals are in the post. Who Dey.
The Bengals play the Steelers this week. Let us hope the Steelers are not playing in their bumble bee uniforms.
